The idea for Sawyer + James came to our creator, Hayley, in Long Beach Island, New Jersey. As she sat around with the fellow bridesmaid’s in her sisters wedding, the ladies shared their successes and not so successful moments of their own weddings. One thing that stood out was the need for child care--who will take care of the kids? Who was going to look after the flower girls and ring bearers (or other little guests) after the I-do’s?

   Hayley Marie combines her two passions; weddings and working with children, to give brides an extra level of fun and security on their special day. She has been babysitting kids, ranging in ages from newborn to eleven years, since the age of thirteen. In 2013, Hayley obtained an Associate of Applied Science in Early Childhood Education from Raritan Valley Community College before venturing onto Stockton University to compete her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Psychology. Upon graduation, She moved to the lovely crescent city to serve in AmeriCorps with City Year New Orleans. She worked primarily as a teaching assistant at Samuel J Green Charter School in Uptown. She is excited to start this new adventure in a city that she loves.
